As part of its educational programming, Madison Opera has long provided free lectures about upcoming productions and interesting topics around the medium. With the arrival of stay-at-home orders, it was a natural transition to move the programming online. As restrictions eased the decision was made to continue to stream live presentations on YouTube.
In support of the live streams, I create custom intro and outro graphics in Adobe After Effects that fit within the specific branding for the lecture. Additionally, these have been used by local television stations for segments on the productions.
In addition to creating the graphics for the segments, I run the live stream: ensuring that moderation and technical aspects run smoothly.
